Penetrating Keratoplasty Hanna Trephine System

Recipient Button: Hanna Trephine

Easy and perfect set-up, each and every case

Insert the appropriate size disposable blade in the trephine and select 1.2 mm depth setting to obtain full-thickness trephination.
You are ready to perform the cut on the recipient.
ht1
One trephine with disposable blade of 12 different diameters

Disposable blade of diameters from 7 to 9 mm with 0.25 mm steps, and 9 to 10.5 mm with 0.5 mm steps.
ht2
Controlled trephination depth

Ability to select the depth of the incision and avoidance of damage to inner structures of the eye during trephination. Visualization of the blade as it cuts the tissue. The Trephine can be set in 50 microns increments from 0 to 1.2 mm.
ht3
Reliable centering

Accurate centering of the trephine with a fenestrated inner obturator.
ht4
8 suction holes

The suction at the limbus secures the Trephine to the eye during trephination.
A vertical and uniformly shape trephination

The uniform support of the entire cornea on both sides of the trephine blade prevents corneal vaulting, and stabilizes the cornea during trephination.

Donor Button: Trephination from Epithelial Side

Trephine the donor button epithelial side

The use of the Artificial Chamber and the Hanna Trephine allows the surgeon to cut the donor tissue in conditions similar to the recipient reducing shape disparity.
ht6
Water tight and pressure control

As all donor tissues can have different sizes, the artificial chamber has been specially designed to give the optimal pressure even for small donor tissues.
ht7
The cylindrical guide insures that the blade is always centered over the donor corneo-scleral shell. The punch block uses the same disposable blade as the trephine.
