Hydrophilic Acrylic Injectable Aspheric Toric Rayner T-flex® Aspheric Toric IOLs (573T and 623T) are a superior alternative to toric IOLs with a restricted range of torus and offer a precise, superior alternative to incisional keratotomy and Limbal Relaxing Incisions (LRIs) for the treatment of pre-existing corneal astigmatism. With T-flex® Aspheric Toric IOLs, the torus (cylinder) is implemented on the anterior surface of the optic and the Amon-Apple Enhanced Square Edge on the posterior surface.
T-flex® Aspheric Toric IOLs are particularly useful for those cataract patients where incisional methods would provide inadequate astigmatic correction. The choice of a T-flex® Aspheric Toric IOL leads to more precise surgical results, especially for cases of severe astigmatism: patients with a history of corneal pathology, keratoconus with penetrating keratoplasty (corneal grafts) and patients with burns and corneal scarring.
