Intelligent Technology

SwissTech does not use operating systems that are prone to error. Instead, we apply direct and reliable process control. SwissTech works with physical concepts and therefore does not need a complex sensor system. No complicated emulsification methods, but finely controlled ultrasound for each degree of hardness. And control is by DirectAccess® without complicated menu navigation. Complex touchscreen techniques are not needed. The tubing set replaces the cassette. The integrated pressure sensor ensures total sterility.

Real portability

The additional benefit is that it is small and light! CataRhex® SwissTech can be used in the smallest operating theatre. SwissTech only weighs 5.6 kg, is portable and can be installed on each IV pole montiert werden. It can be transported in a pilot suitcase including pedal and instruments and you can take it with you as hand-luggage. This portability makes it possible to use it easily in the most varied operation sites.

The easiest possible solution

The easy handling requires hardly any training. Thanks to the multifunctional pedal, less assistance is necessary. The versatile pump system makes surgery faster and the stability of the I/A system makes changing the height of the bottle unnecessary.

Fast programming

The entire range of services of CataRhex® SwissTech is at the disposal of 9 different doctors. Each of them has their own choices memorised. Above all, each doctor can make their own pre-adjustments. SwissTech thus enables individuality for all users.

The electrically controlled SUS-Cutterworks exactly according to the pedal presetting, from the precise single cut up to the efficient highspeed application with 1200 cuts per minute. The cutting heads have variable openings and are all hand-finished.

SwissTech can be combined with the Oertli® NovitreX unit. In this way, a vitreoretinal system with comprehensive functions is formed.
